Muhsin Recognized For Generous Donation

Waverly Alum and Chicago Bears Wide Receiver, Muhsin Muhammad II to be Recognized For His Generous Donation to Waverly High School for a Re-fitted Weight Room Floor and Fitness Equipment
On Tuesday, February 27th, 2007, Muhsin Muhammad II and his family will be in attendance at the Waverly Varsity Basketball game vs. Holt High School. He will be recognized for his generous donation to Waverly High School in a halftime ceremony. Muhsin made a donation to refit the weight room. This donation includes a new fitness floor and 22 pieces of Hammer Strength weight lifting equipment. The room will be named the Muhsin Muhammad II Fitness Center.
Waverly High School teacher, Kevin Byrnes (who was the Head Varsity Coach when Muhsin played for Waverly), has been working with Muhsin on this project for the past year.
Kevin commented that, “over 300 students a day will be using this new equipment. The students will be able to target more specific muscle groups.”
